PROFILE OF DIRECTOR, PPU

Mr. Oyetunde Oyelola was born on 1st October 1959 to the family of Late Pa & Mrs. Oyebode Oyelola from Ogbomosho, Oyo State, Nigeria.
He had his Secondary education at the Government High School, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria between 1975 and 1980.

He thereafter proceeded to the University Ife (Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile Ife, Osun State, Nigeria in 1980 and obtained Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Quantity Surveying in 1985. He also went to the University of Lagos between 2002 and 2004 for Master degree in Construction Management(M.Sc).
He did compulsory National Youth Service Corps at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri in the Department of Works and Services between 1985 and 1986.

After completion of the NYSC scheme, he worked briefly with the Oyo State Ministry of Works & Housing, Ibadan as an intern under the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in 1987 until he joined the services of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti on 18th of August, 1988 as Quantity Surveyor II at the Department of Works & Services. He rose through the rank to the position of Assistant Chief Quantity Surveyor due to dedication to work and loyalty. He transferred his services to the Federal University of Technology, Akure in April, 2007 when he was appointed as Chief Quantity Surveyor in the Directorate of Physical Planning. He rose to the position of Deputy Director.
In 2015, he obtained leave of absence to take up the position of the Pioneer Director, Physical Planning at the Federal Polytechnic, ile-oluji. He established the Directorate of Physical Planning and that of Works Department.
He was involved in many Capital projects from inception to completion in many Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria.
He is the focal and strategic officer in the translation of the Vision of the Management in Physical infrastructures at the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji. The activities manifested itself in the transformation of the Permanent site from jungle into a condusive and modern academic environment of 21st century within two years. He deployed his professional dexterity and integrity in the delivery of safe, low maintenance structures with zero post occupancy challenge.
The Directorate of Physical Planning, under his leadership organizes Annual Lectures every year and the Directorate is the first and only to inaugurate such amongst others at the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji.
He is a corporate member of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (MNIQS) since 1990 and registered with the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (RQS) in 1993.
He has attended many conferences, seminars and workshops organised by professional bodies both within and outside Nigeria.
He is an easy going, focus, loyal and dedicated officer. He is married with children.
