Mrs. Rachael Olufunke Ogunbodede was born to the family of Chief Eyinla, in Owo Town, Owo Local Government of Ondo State on the 13th of June, 1971. She had her primary school education from St. Patrick Primary School, Owo, between 1976 and 1982. Later, she proceeded to Owo High School, Owo, Ondo State, where she obtained her WASC (‘O’ Level) between 1982 and 1988. She then attended the prestigious Ondo State Polytechnic, Owo now Rufus Giwa Polytechnic where she had her National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Accountancy in 1993 and 1995 respectively. She further enrolled for her Post Graduate Diploma in Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko where she obtained her Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Financial Management. In her quest for scholarship, she did her B.Sc in Accounting with Imo State University, Owerri between 2003 and 2006 and Master of Science (M.Sc) in Accounting with Achievers University, Owo between 2018 and 2019.
She did her NYSC programme at Nigeria Machine Tools, Osogbo, Osun State between 1996 and 1997. After her NYSC programme, she worked for some years in private sector before she crossed to the public sector to work with Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State between 2001 and 2020. She joined the Polytechnic as Accountant II and rose to the position of Deputy Bursar before leaving for the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, in April, 2020 as the Bursar by Federal Government appointment.
Mrs. Rachael Olufunke Ogunbodede got qualified as an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ACA) in 2009 and became a Fellow of the Institute (FCA) in 2020. She is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants (ACMA). She co-published “Taxation as a source of Revenue Generation in Local Government, Nigeria” – Research Journal of Finance and Accounting IISTE 10 (6): 25-36
She also participated in Extra-departmental Engagements/Committee membership while in Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo and The Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji respectively, some of which are:-
