Rector’s Charge 10/02/2025

Rector’s Charge 10/02/2025

With the pronouncement of Council on the appointment of new principal officers, the full complement of members of Management to drive the vision and the goals of the Polytechnic, into the future has been addressed and adequately taken care off.

As the tenure of the current Bursar and Polytechnic Librarian draws to a close, the need to have new officers take charge of the bursary and library cannot be over emphasized. The duo of Mr. Sehinde Ebenezer Olabode and Mrs. Rachael Fasa Aladeniyi are expected to bring on board their wealth of experience, garnered over the course of  their career to bear on the operation of Management.

I can also report that a very serious issue has been resolved by the help of God, the dexterity of Council and the kind understanding of parties involved, that is the lingering issue of the mode of disengagement giving to the pioneering Principal Officers of the Polytechnic.

The trio of Messrs F. O. Adetula, A.T. Orina and A. A. Olofinsawe were present at the last meeting of Council, and they did expressed their unhappiness and reservations at the very shabby disengagement, that was giving to them at the expiration of their pioneering efforts in the Polytechnic, and sought the understanding of Council to redress this wrong.

Members of Council all empathized with them and paid glowing tribute to their efforts, however the constraint that the law establishing Federal Polytechnic placed on Council was communicated to them with a proviso that Management should seek innovative means to address their complaints without breaching the extant laws governing the administration of Federal Polytechnics. At the end of the exchange, they each accepted to go with their gifts.

On behalf of members of Council, Management, Staff and Students, I want to thank the trio of the Pioneer Registrar, Mr. F. O. Adetula; Bursar, Mr. A. T. Orina and Polytechnic Librarian, Mr. A. A. Olofinsawe for their selfless service to Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State. We pray God continue to grant them wholesome health and strength all of their days.

Do have a pleasant week.

Thank you.

Signed

 Dr. Ademola I. Ebeloku FCIA

Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji
