Rector’s Charge 22/12/2024

The Productivity award ceremony which held last week rewarded staff who did not just show promise, but who contributed to the success recorded by the Polytechnic in the current year, I must however commend every member of staff for their onerous efforts at uplifting the fortunes of the polytechnic.  Furthermore, I’d like to use this medium to commend the winners of the award, Engr. Dr. B. O. Adegoke [Rector’s Merit Award], Messrs. J. Chimaroke [Best Head of Department Award], O. Bello [Best Senior Staff Award], Mr. Arogun [Best Driver Award] and Ms. T. Akintunde [Best Junior Staff Award] for their selfless service which contributed to the growth of the institution.

The Registry under the astute leadership of the Registrar, Mr. G. A. Awe, also held its maiden Registry Retreat themed “Effectiveness and Efficiency in Management’ last week. The retreat was an eye opener for many staff as it dissected the ethos and ethics necessary to succeed as staff in not just the registry but for all categories of non-teaching staff, and for as many as understands what managing the workplace entails. It treated issues surrounding effectiveness, integrity, attitudinal recalibration which are germane for anyone seeking a sterling career in any higher educational institution.

It is my firm hope and expectation that the retreat will help to properly situate the registry of the Polytechnic  in its prime place, so as to allow the registry to continue crafting a seamless administrative hub for the appropriate functioning of the Polytechnic. This also wishing the Registrar and registry staff all the necessary success in future retreat.

The release of the admission list has giving the necessary impetus to the new session with the admitted candidate’s already on campus for registration formalities while staff are reminded to render necessary assistance to them without strings attached.

As I close this charge, let me use this medium to wish each member of staff a MERRY CHRISTMAS celebration and also the very BEST IN THE NEW YEAR!

“ASEYI SAMODUN OJU GBOGBO WA A MA RODUN”

Do have a pleasant week.

Thank you.

Signed

 Dr. Ademola I. Ebeloku FCIA
