Esteemed staff and colleagues of Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji.

The first of May every year is a celebration commemorating the invaluable and diligent contributions of workers, to the continued growth and development of our nation, Nigeria.

As the Rector of this noble institution of learning, let extend my heartfelt and profound appreciation to each and every member of staff. Your dedication, hard work and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in charting the growth and the future of our students and our institution.

I must also go on record to celebrate your tireless efforts as teaching and non-teaching staff, especially the work, efforts and commitment to duty that each of you demonstrate, though often unseen but deliberately central to the seamless functioning of our institution. These contributions are irreplaceable and I can report with pride that they have impacted heavily on the growth of the Polytechnic in no small measure.

While we celebrate it is rather apt that we each reflect on the seeming daunting challenges that we are faced with and the undeniable opportunities that abound in these challenges. I therefore, charge each one among us to brace up to these challenges knowing that each challenge is embedded with opportunities, and let us all recommit ourselves to the resolve that we will build, both a bright and promising future for our students, and also for our institution and nation.

As I close this message, let me again urge each one among us to strive for excellence, to innovate and to push beyond our current limitations and boundaries, in our quest to achieve greatness together.

Once again, I wish you all a happy workers day. May God continue to bless us all.
